Once the cube is designed and saved, you can choose to build cube.
Upon running Full Build on the cube, you can then run/schedule an Incremental Build to run once on a specified date/time or in recurring mode upon fixed time interval.
This would facilitate a build with differential data and aggregate to existing cube data. Incremental build thus helps to save time and effort in processing voluminous data.
Intellicus offers Build Options to help you schedule cube builds in an easy and dynamic manner.
The options provided include:
Full: To be able to schedule a full build on the saved cube either once or in recurring mode.
Incremental: To be able to schedule a build picking differential data after the last build was run.
Consolidation: Consolidates previous run builds.
Applied filters can be seen on the OLAP Viewer. You can click and select a particular filter by clicking the filter field name. You can also delete a filter without opening the Filter Dialog.
For multiple Measures, you can automatically see Y-axes of different scales on the chart.
Designing a cube has been made easy. You can add dimensions by dragging and dropping dimension anywhere on the Editor.
These get linked to Measures.
You can create levels if you drag the dimensions inside an existing dimension.
Star Schema is easy to understand that provides better performance with smaller query times. In order to use these features to the fullest, Intellicus now provides designing Cubes from Star Schema files.
Measures and Dimensions of the cube can be pulled out of fields from different query objects.
