Administration Enhancements

Intellicus 5.2 brings to you many Administration enhancements to allow greater control over user server services and entities.

The major enhancements are:

• New Intellicus Service Manager

• Distributed RPG folders

• Mass operations on entities

• New Configuration settings for Adhoc wizard

• Hot Deployment of License

New Intellicus Service Manager

Intellicus 5.2 now introduces Service manager screen for following operations. This manager supports all windows operating systems ( Windows NT and above).

• It provides ability to launch multiple instances of Report server, Web server and Load Balancer from window service.

• It provides following facilities.

  • Add or delete servers

  • Start or stop servers

  • Configure servers

  • View logs

•  You can select individual server or multiple servers to perform Start, Stop, Delete or View logs operations.

On minimizing this screen ,it shows in system tray.

Distributed RPG folders

RPG files are collection of files of Report pages that are generated by Report server for each report execution. These files reside on disk at a location configured by the Administrator. These files expire based on provided setting and expired files are purged by system.

In previous version of Intellicus, Administrator can configure only one location for the RPG files but as the size of folder increases disk space management becomes a problem.

Intellicus 5.2 now introduces facility to configure secondary locations for RPG files. Administrator can define secondary locations for RPG files from Administration > Configure > Server page of Intellicus portal. Secondary locations can be a relative path, absolute path or network path. Administrator can move RPG files from primary location (Report Cache path) to secondary locations . Report server will use secondary locations for reading of RPG files and create new files on primary location only.

 

Mass operations on entities

Intellicus 5.2 provides facility of mass operation on entities. Mass operation facility is available through Report and Repository explorers.

You can select multiple entities and can perform following operations based on System privileges and access rights .

• Categories - You can modify Properties and Access rights. You can perform delete operation.

• Reports - You can modify Properties ,Advance properties and Access rights. You can perform cut, copy, copy link, delink ,paste and delete operations

• Saved Reports - You can perform delete operation.

• Query Objects  - You can modify Advance properties and Access rights. You can perform cut, copy, paste and delete operations.

• Parameter Objects, Dashboards and Dashboard Widgets - You can modify Access rights. You can perform cut, copy, paste and delete operations.

New Configuration settings for Adhoc wizard

Intellicus 5.2 now introduces following configurations for Global section of Adhoc Wizard.

• It provides ability to change layout of Adhoc Wizard. Now following Wizard layout options available.

  • Accordion

  • Tabbed

• It provides facility to configure default template that should appear selected when Adhoc wizard is launched from widget designer.

Hot Deployment of License

Administrator can deploy new license file without restarting of Servers.
