Intellicus 5.0 Release Notes Home
Intellicus 5.0 brings to you many User Interface enhancements to ease usability and navigation. Right from Menus to toolbars, these enhancements aim to help you reach the desired functionality faster and with ease.
The major enhancements are
Intellicus 5.0 presents a new sliding menu. This menu will help you navigate to the desired functionality quickly and can be invoked on-demand. This on-demand invocation enhances the usability and gives the application a next-generation User Interface feel.
The sliding menu is invoked from the menu-stubs. These menu-stubs are Always available, as a permanent menu-bar on the left-side of the Intellicus portal.
You can choose to Navigate to various functionalities, go to Reports directly, to Repository object or choose your favorites.
On selecting any of the menu-stubs - Navigation/Reports/Repository/Favorites, the sliding menu opens with the related options that you can choose from, to perform the required functions.
Note: The Menu is configurable and you can switch to old configuration by setting tabbed in portal configuration
Each user sees a Home Page after logging in. This Home Page has been vastly enhanced to include useful information for the user.
For a Super Administrator, information such as,
Server Status - Memory Usage, Thread Pools usage
Execution Status of Reports - Completed, Running, Failed
Recent Errors
Recent Requests Served (Number v/s Time graph)
Number of Connected Users
Disk Size
My Links
Recent Reports Run
is displayed.
This gives you, as a Super Administrator, an overall picture of the system and enable you to manage the system effectively.
For a Normal User, information such as,
Recent Reports Run
Execution Status of Reports - Completed, Running, Failed
Recent Errors
Portal Preferences

The toolbar follows the Fish-eye approach. The set of icons associated with each entity are located as close as possible to that entity and they start to highlight in relation to the mouse pointer.
For example, for a report, the following operations are available as icons in the fish-eye toolbar (of course, based on license), for a Super Administrator.
